Taking the shape of a roundtable discussion, Tea Party brings together female artists, researchers, performers, and curators. Utilizing the format of a Tea Party, the participants revisit, reflect, and simultaneously act out questions about identity, representation, and performance, and the accompanying risk of reinforcing the stereotypes that they aim to challenge (especially when addressing a western audience). Lali Khalid, Madyha Leghari, Zoya Siddiqui, Bushra Rehman, Rabbya Naseer, and others host a performative tea party addressing issues of identity and its performance through creative practices.
