You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. The Kitchen will take part, for the first time, in the annual presentation of Independent – a hybrid art collective, consortium and temporary exhibition forum. Liz Nielsen’s first solo exhibition with the gallery features an entirely new body of unique photographic work referred to as “compositions.” For Nielsen, photography is sculpture, painting, drawing, math and science. It is the voice she uses to invent and test ideas, to present connections of thought, creations and visions. Liz Nielsen was born in Wisconsin in 1975. Her works have been reviewed in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Art Slant. Her works have been exhibited in group exhibitions, including David Zwirner, New York; Schalter, Berlin; and Lisa Boyle Gallery, Chicago. Her works have been acquired by the Progressive Art Collection and will also have a selection of works on display at the Steven Alan boutique in Chelsea. The artist currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
