Alex Dimitrov's first book of poems, Begging for It, was published by Four Way Books this year. His poems have been published in the Yale Review, Kenyon Review, American Poetry Review, Slate, Poetry Daily, Tin House, and Boston Review. He is the recipient of the Stanley Kunitz Award from the American Poetry Review and the founder of Wilde Boys, a queer poetry salon in New York City. Dimitrov works at the Academy of American Poets, teaches creative writing at Rutgers University, and frequently writes for Poets & Writers.
Dorothea Lasky is the author of three collections of poetry: Thunderbird, Black Life, and AWE. Her poems have appeared in The Paris Review, The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, and Boston Review, among other places. She holds a doctorate in creativity and education from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master's in Arts in Education from Harvard University, and a MFA from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst's Program for Poets and Writers. She has taught poetry in a variety of settings, including New York University, Columbia University, and Wesleyan University.
