AngelHeaded Hipster is the first documentary to explore the complex and revolutionary music and lyrics of Marc Bolan and T. Rex. Using archival performances, interviews with Bolan, Elton John, and Ringo Starr--plus filmed musical interpretations by artists such as Nick Cave, John Cameron Mitchell, Joan Jett, Macy Gray, U2, Lucinda Williams, Father John Misty, and son Rolan Bolan among others--this documentary creates an exuberant and thoughtful examination of a true original: a glam rock pioneer, gender-bending free spirit, and explorer of punk and soul music. An amnesiac French diplomat and his wife become victims of a blackmailer's ruse about his past. After a brief early film career in Czechoslovakia, she fled from her first husband, Friedrich Mandl, and secretly moved to Paris. Traveling to London, she met Louis B. Mayer, who offered her a film contract in Hollywood. Lamarr became a film star with her performance in the romantic drama Algiers (1938). She achieved further success with the Western Boom Town (1940) and the drama White Cargo (1942). Lamarr's most successful film was the religious epic Samson and Delilah (1949). She also acted on television before the release of her final film in 1958. She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.

Urukurenda: en búsqueda de la Tierra Sin Mal (Ĩwĩ Maraëï) portrays the experiences of the residents of a Guaraní community from Southeast Bolivia. Step behind the velvet curtain for the New York premiere of JIG SHOW: Leon Claxton's Harlem in Havana, a documentary on a sizzling, untold chapter of American entertainment--where Black brilliance, Cuban rhythm, and early burlesque lit up the big top and defied segregation. This three-part documentary takes viewers inside the legendary Harlem in Havana Revue, featuring Cunningham's grandmother Shirley Bates, former lead exotic dancer, and her father John Cunningham, a San Diego musician raised on the show. Rare footage, never-before-digitized show photos, archival clips, and vibrant performances illuminate the rise and fall of Claxton's troupe, while historians, burlesque artists, and musicians provide cultural context. Chases, dramatic escapes, and a real mid-air plane crash are only part of the fun.
