Play | A Picture of Autumn: Comedy, 'the echoes of Chekhov are unmistakable' (virtual, streaming for 24 hours)

A Picture of Autumn made its debut on February 11, 1951 in a one-night 'try-out' performance presented by the Repertory Players, at the Duke of York's Theatre on London's West End. Despite promising reviews, the play was never picked up. Instead, N.C. Hunter enjoyed great success with his plays Waters of the Moon, A Day by the Sea and A Touch of the Sun, which dominated the West End throughout the fifties. Meanwhile, A Picture of Autumn gathered dust until this acclaimed production--the play's first in over 60 years. By N.C. Hunter Directed by Gus Kaikkonen

Established in 1972, this art museum's permanent collection consists of around 10,000 items, over 6,000 of which are documents and objects related to the 1939 and 1964 World's Fairs, some of which are on long-term display.
