5:30 pm Jalopy Theatre Presents Feral Foster and Ali Dineen -- Named the Best Folk Artist of 2014 by the Village Voice, Feral Foster has been gigging in New York, across the country and in Europe for the past 10 years, capturing the imagination and attention of listeners with his impassioned singing and powerful songwriting. Foster draws from the deep wellspring of early blues, country, and jazz to tell contemporary, human stories, making for music that feels wellworn and strikingly fresh at the same time. Ali Dineen is a singer, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist born and raised in New York, and well-traveled across the United States. Throughout her various journeys, from a bike trip across the country to a sailing trip down the Mississippi River, Ali has collected and written music in each place she has explored. She has performed original acoustic music and songs from U.S. folk traditions for the past several years in New York and everywhere she has visited, and incorporates historical and sociopolitical commentary into her shows. 6:40 pm Samuel Saffery -- Alternative indie folk
