Screening | Kalotaszeg: Hungarian National Dance Ensemble Performs in Budapest (online)
The Liszt Institute New York together with the Palace of Arts Budapest continue their cooperation to bring the audience some of the most engaging, entertaining and unforgettable concert experiences in a comfortable, online format in exquisite HD quality. This is special dance performance by the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble titled Kalotaszeg, celebrating Hungary’s most important National Holiday, the Day of Saint Stephen and the day of Hungary’s foundation. The first editions of the Living Martin Archive series follow the route followed by the tireless ethnographic researcher György Martin (1932-1983) in filming his dance documentaries, thereby paying tribute to the life's work of this wonderful scholar. Martin and his colleagues organised a highly significant series of trips to collect dances in Hungary and Transylvania, which would play a prominent role in the history of both Hungarian and European folk dance research. With this show, the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble aims to express its gratitude to the makers of the films from Bonchida and Türe and all those who took part: the Hungarian, Romanian and Gypsy performers (dancers and musicians) who preserved and passed on these wonderful dance and musical traditions.

In this 1980s sci-fi classic, small-town California teen Marty McFly is thrown back into the '50s when an experiment by his eccentric scientist friend Doc Brown goes awry. Traveling through time in a modified DeLorean car, Marty encounters young versions of his parents, and must make sure that they fall in love or he'll cease to exist. Even more dauntingly, Marty has to return to his own time and save the life of Doc Brown. Director: Robert Zemeckis Cast: Michael J. He first came to public attention as the director of the action-adventure romantic comedy Romancing the Stone (1984), the science-fiction comedy Back to the Future trilogy (1985-1990), and the live-action/animated comedy Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). He subsequently directed the satirical black comedy Death Becomes Her (1992) and then diversified into more dramatic fare, including Forrest Gump (1994), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Director. The film also won the Best Picture. Michael J. Fox is a Canadian and American activist and retired actor. Beginning his career as a child actor in the 1970s, he rose to prominence portraying Alex P. Fox won five Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Grammy Award. Christopher Lloyd is an American actor. He has appeared in many theater productions, films, and on television since the 1960s. He is known for portraying Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy (1985-1990) and Jim Ignatowski in the comedy series Taxi (1978-1983), for which he won two Emmy Awards.
