You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. This is a 3-hour tour that begins with a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, an icon of New York City for over 125 years, with spectacular views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The tour then moves on to a stroll of Brooklyn Heights, America’s and New York City’s first suburb. The tour then explores the neighborhood DUMBO before ending at the Fulton Ferry landing.

Home of the celebrated Bach Vespers series, the 112-year-old church offers a historically appropriate venue for the performance of early music in this hour-long lunchtime concert. Early music term usually relates to Medieval music (500–1400) and Renaissance music (1400–1600), but can also include Baroque music (1600–1760). According to the UK's National Centre for Early Music, the term "early music" refers to both a repertory (European music written between 1250 and 1750 embracing Medieval, Renaissance and the Baroque) – and a historically informed approach to the performance of that music.

Author Reading | Paranormal Victorian Holiday Event


This event celebrates the publication of The Morris-Jumel Mansion Anthology of Fantasy and Paranormal Fiction. The evening will include readings from the anthology from award-winning fantasy writer Leanna Renee Heiber, short story writer Gina Marie Guadagnino, and the radio play “Eliza’s House.” Holiday singing will close the evening’s festivities and guests will be served hot spiced wine and cider, cheese, cookies and other holiday fare, and given an overview of paranormal activity at the mansion. Victorian attire is encouraged, but not required. The anthology features 14 tales set in the Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan’s oldest house, which housed General George Washington during the Battle of Harlem Heights, and was subsequently the home of the infamous Aaron Burr and his wife, Eliza Jumel, who reputedly still haunts the grounds. The tales are ghost stories, science fiction, mystery, romance, erotica, time travel, visions of the afterlife, and paranormal fantasy.
