Tour | Flatiron District Walking Tour


A journey through the vibrant neighborhood, viewing some of the City’s most notable landmarks, including the New York Life Insurance Building, the MetLife Clock Tower, the Appellate Courthouse and the famous Flatiron Building. Tour guides: Miriam Berman, historian and the author of Madison Square: The Park and Its Celebrated Landmarks and New York in Words and Images, a book of New York postcards. Fred Cookinham, historian, author of The Age of Rand: Imagining an Objectivist Future World. Mike Kaback, a native New Yorker, has an unquenchable enthusiasm for everything about this city. No advance registration is required. This tour repeats every Sunday.

Highlights include a discussion of the history of the site, information about architect Cass Gilbert and viewings of the Collectors Office with its Tiffany woodwork, Reginald Marsh murals and the 140-ton rotunda dome, designed and built by Rafael Gustavino.

Tour | The Ramble Tour


Coined the 'wild garden' by designer Frederick Law Olmsted, the Ramble offers visitors a tranquil spot to meander along winding paths and discover hidden forest gardens. This truly is a place for the urban explorer to escape the city and get lost in nature. This is a tour of this serene 36-acre woodland, led by guides. Highlights of this tour include the Lake, Bow Bridge, Ramble Arch, Oak Bridge, the Gill, and Azalea Pond. Terrain: Uneven, with hills, stairs, and wood-chipped trails Length of Tour: approximately 90 minutes

Forty-five minute organ meditations celebrating the diverse repertoire of the pipe organ. The program features the great repertoire of the organ on the 101-rank Pipe Organ built by Herman Schlicker and the 5 stop chamber organ built by Taylor and Boody Organ Builders. Takes place every Saturday and Sunday from September 9, 2018 to May 26, 2019.
