Following their previous exploration of composer Johann Rosenmüller’s work while at the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice has naturally led ACRONYM to take a fresh look at Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Rosenmüller and Vivaldi held the same position at the Venetian school, just decades apart. ACRONYM’s arrangement of The Four Seasons is a continuous reading of the masterpiece. Baroque string band ACRONYM is dedicated to recording and giving modern premieres of the wild instrumental music of the seventeenth century.
