New York Festival of Song, who “redefined the song recital with daring and dramatic programming” (The New Yorker), presents its fifth annual program with the Department of Vocal Arts. NYFOS celebrates the creative energy and superlative vocal talent of tomorrow’s brightest stars, building on its distinctive programming and performing style.
The program includes Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, the Beach Boys, Eubie Blake, Berlin, Paul Bowles, Samuel Barber, and other composers whose names start with the letter B.
The artists in Killer B’s will be Catherine Hancock and Meredith Lustig, sopranos; Carla Jablonski and Naomi O’Connell, mezzo-sopranos; Carlton Ford and Timothy McDevitt, baritones; Adrian Rosas, bass-baritone; and New York Festival of Song directors Steven Blier and Michael Barrett, pianists/hosts. Choreography is by Jeanne Slater.
