An American travelogue in song from New England to the deep South, and from the Midwest to Texas and California. Juilliard singers will perform songs by Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman, Arthur Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill, and many others.
The program, which is the Juilliard School’s sixth co-presentation with New York Festival of Song, is directed by Steven Blier, a member of Juilliard’s faculty and artistic director for New York Festival of Song. He is joined by co-artistic director Michael Barrett on the piano. The evening features Juilliard singers: soprano Meredith Lustig; mezzo-sopranos Lacey Jo Benter and Naomi O’Connell; tenor Daniel Curran; and baritones Tobias Greenhalgh, Will Liverman, and Timothy J. McDevitt.
