Concert | Young Artists Concert: Piano


This concert series presents prize winners of the New York International Piano Competition. The third performer of the year is Fanya Lin, a prize winner of the Fifth New York International Piano Competition (2010). Born in Taipei, Taiwan, she began formal piano study at the age of 4. In 2008, she enrolled at Weber State University in Utah to study with Dr. Yu-Jane Yang and was the recipient of the Edna Ione Hall Scholarship, 2012-2013 Presser Foundation Scholarship Award and 2013 AHA Friend of College Award. In the summer of 2010, Fanya studied at Indiana University with Menahem Pressler as a visiting student. She currently is enrolled in the master’s program at the Juilliard School, studying with Jerome Lowenthal and Choong Mo Kang.
