Classical Music | Works By Vivaldi, Corelli and More For Violin And Harpsichord


Leah Gale Nelson, baroque violin; Dongsok Shin, harpsichord. Program Violin sonatas by Corelli & Vivaldi, Keyboard sonatas (with violin) by Campioni & Boccherini, Traditional Scots Tunes & other delights. Violinist Leah Gale Nelson has led performances of landmark literature for some of the finest choirs in New York, and has served as concertmaster for the Aspen Festival Opera Theater, Gotham Chamber Opera (NYC), and Chicago Opera Theater, in Chicago and New York, as guest director for Lyra Baroque Orchestra in Minneapolis, and has been concertmaster and guest soloist for the Church of St. Luke in the Fields, New York City, since 1999, where she is Artist in Residence. Harpsichordist Dongsok Shin has appeared with the American Classical Orchestra, ARTEK, Concert Royal, Early Music New York, Carmel Bach Festival, Mark Morris Dance Group, the New York Philharmonic, the Orchestra of St. Luke's and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

Avi Stein, organ. Avi Stein is associate organist and chorus master at Trinity Wall Street. He teaches harpsichord, vocal repertoire and chamber music at Yale University, continuo accompaniment at the Juilliard School, and is the music director at St. Matthew & St. Timothy Episcopal Church. The New York Times described him as "a brilliant organ soloist" in his Carnegie Hall debut. He plays regularly with the Boston Early Music Festival, the Trinity Church Wall Street Choir and Baroque Orchestra, among others.
