Park Walk | Foraging Tour (in-person): Wineberries, Cherries, Spicy Mustard Greens, and More


The park provides a great window into the world of wild foods of mid-summer. Wild herbs and greens will be plentiful: spicy mustard greens, such as poor man's pepper and hedge mustard, epazote and ground ivy, burdock root. You will also find fruits and berries: wineberries, invasive Asian red raspberries, as well as cornelian cherries, blackberries and black cherries. The tour will last for about 4 hours. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Workshop | Learn Juggling in the Park (in-person)


Join in for a quick lesson, stay for the whole time, or just enjoy watching the jugglers put their skills to the test. They're a friendly group and open to drop-ins. All skill levels welcome. Equipment is provided and regularly sanitized. Participants are encouraged to: Wear face coverings at all times Maintain at least six feet of distance between fellow participants at all times Use the park's hand-washing stations to wash hands before and after juggling Refrain from juggling back-and-forth with others

Opera | Met Opera: Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro


This 2014 production of Mozart’s timeless comedy is set in a manor house in 1930s Seville. Ildar Abdrazakov leads the cast as the resourceful Figaro set on outwitting his master, the philandering Count Almaviva, played by Peter Mattei. Marlis Petersen sings Susanna, the object of the Count’s affection and Figaro’s bride-to-be, Amanda Majeski is the Countess, and Isabel Leonard gives a standout performance as the pageboy Cherubino. Music Director James Levine on the podium brings out all the humor, drama, and humanity of Mozart’s score.
