Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Park Walk | Garden Tour


A horticulturist guides walkers through the park and the “hot” and “cool” gardens designed by Lynden B. Miller. Peonies and irises are the season’s showstoppers, and visitors will delight in the eight varieties of scarlet, white and pink roses. Also in bloom will be several varieties of purple clematis, English Lavender, Yarrow, Lady’s Mantle, Catmint, Foxglove, Columbine, Centranthus ruber, Epimedium, False Blue Indigo (Baptisia australis), Hydrangea, and Allium gigantum, with its large purple globes. Above them all stands Meadow Rue (Thalictrum “Lavender Mist”), which grows 6 to 7 feet in height.
