LoVid will host an event that focuses on generating a collective portrait of the participants. As a central component of the activities, LoVid will create photographic portraits of select participants while leading them through a choreographed exploration of identity, communication, and transformation. A concert version of Handel's Alcina, an opera seria. Handel used the libretto of L'isola di Alcina, an opera that was set in 1728 in Rome by Riccardo Broschi, which he acquired the year after, during his travels in Italy. The plot was originally taken from Ludovico Ariosto's Orlando furioso (like those of the Handel operas Orlando and Ariodante), an epic poem set in the time of Charlemagne's wars against Islam.

Tropfest, the world's largest short-film festival, was founded more than 20 years ago in Australia.
