Neptune's Lullaby is a groundbreaking multimedia musical theater production delving into humanity's existential inquiry. Written, directed, and performed by Jihae--a versatile artist known for her musical prowess, including co-writing "Just Feels" with Leonard Cohen and creating a rock opera Fire Burning Rain with John Patrick Shanley--and based on her 3rd LP of the same title, this production breaks traditional boundaries. The show explores profound questions about consciousness, identity, and the interconnectedness of all living beings featuring Bina48, a sentient robot. At 8pm, artist and AI researcher Claire Jervert's Of Two Minds synthesizes a number of leading technologies, including AI, VR and CHATGPT. This blending of technologies enables the user to experience the real-time interaction of human intelligence with hybrid AI in a particularly vivid way. Performance | The Threshing Zone: Performance Art

Felix Bernstein's The Threshing Zone is a manic lecture on the erogenous body. How to develop a new theory of desire from its remainders and sore spots—what’s been written off as infantile or degenerate? Bernstein draws on a glut of visual sources to diagram what psychoanalysis could never metabolize, from medieval anatomy books and medical archives to astrological charts and visceral animations. The fluidity of the slideshow format confers its own propulsive logic, linking the evidence—whether found or fabricated—through loose affinities of shape and form: rims become cracks or vanishing points that give way to the cavities of fossilized shells, then liquefy into TikToks of oozing slime. The Threshing Zone crosses the empirical and the outlandish to map these wayward drives, forging new models of identity formation written on the flesh.

Concert | Ensemble Mixes Catchy Songs with Humor

Obie-winning playwright and songwriter Ethan Lipton (No Place to Go, Tumacho) has been thrilling and tickling audiences for nearly 20 years as the lead vocalist of his quartet, the wryly titled Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra, featuring Eben Levy (guitarist), Ian Riggs (bass), and Vito Dieterle (sax). The band's undeniably catchy songs split the difference between Whitmanesque Americana and the dryly zany comedy of James Thurber, providing insight, giggles, and big feelings at roughly equivalent dosage. Now, Ethan & His Orchestra will realize its music with an actual orchestra, with arrangements and conducting by Giancarlo Vulcano, performing tracks from their new album, Did You Do the Thing We Talked About?, and the rest of their eclectic catalog. This one-of-a-kind event will celebrate the ridiculous, amplify the everyday, and thumb-wrestle with the gnarly challenge of being human.
