You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. At 44 1/2, Creative Time’s presentation of video art on MTV’s outdoor, gilded screen, will showcase the work of groundbreaking performance artist Marina Abramovic. Opening concurrently with her retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art, Creative Time’s presentation includes Light/Dark (1977), Rest Energy (1980) and Dissolution (1997). Ambramovic has influenced other artists for more than three decades. One of the videos will play at the top of the hour, every hour.

Screening | Czech Documentary: Helena Trestikova's Marriage Stories: Twenty Years Later - Marcela (2006)


Trestikova began an in-depth examination of the bonds between six newlywed couples, checking in with each pair periodically to track the course of their relationship. The resulting study aired on Czech television in 2006 as a four-part series. An unusually strong reaction from the viewing public to one individual in particular led Trestikova to extend the series with a fifth segment concentrating entirely on Marcela which won a prize for best European documentary at Sevilla Film Festival 2007. 82 min.
