You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Concert | Anthony Williams, Organist


Williams in from Fisk University, Tennessee The concert is performed on the Gabe M. Wiener Memorial Organ, an extraordinary instrument constructed by the renowned firm of Casavant Frères of St. Hyacinthe, Canada, and built for the specific requirements of the congregation's worship services and music program. The organ consists of two distinct, interconnected instruments: a Bimah Organ (Casavant Opus 3812) located on both sides of the bimah and used primarily during services to accompany the cantor, choir, and congregation; and a larger Gallery Organ (Casavant Opus 3813) located in the elevated rear gallery and used both for services and concerts. This singular organ contains an impressive 4,345 pipes, 55 stops, and 74 ranks.

Concert | World known clarinetist Julian Milkis


Clarinetist Julian Milkis has performed as a soloist with such prestigious orchestras as the Toronto Symphony, the Moscow State Symphony orchestra, the Hamburg Mozarteum, the Edmonton Symphony, and l'Orchestre National de Lyon. As a chamber musician, Milkis has collaborated with such top musicians as Valery Afansiev, Yuri Bashmet, Gerald Caussé, and the Borodin String Quartet. He is very active as a participant in various musical festivals, such as Sviatoslav Richter's Chamber Music Festival in Moscow, which he has performed in since 1991. Milkis has recorded extensively for the Russian Disk, Melodiya, and Suoni e Colori labels, usually with his wife, pianist Nina Kogan, herself, a renowned soloist and graduate of the Moscow Conservatory of Music.

Drawing from his forthcoming book Return to the Postcolony: Spectres of Colonialism in Contemporary Art, Demos elaborates on the Dutch artist’s travel to the Democratic Republic of Congo where he created a performative intervention in the image-regime of media, photojournalist, humanitarian, and artistic representations of poverty that reveals the structural conditions of economic inequality under neoliberalism’s global financial arrangements.
