Julia Bullock has spun the high, pure solo lines in Baroque opera and melted hearts singing “Somewhere” from Bernstein’s West Side Story; as a recitalist, she has performed everything from Messiaen and Berio to arrangements of Josephine Baker songs. A winner of the 2014 Naumburg International Vocal Competition, The New York Times has called her an “impressive, fast-rising soprano.”
Renate Rohlfing is one of the most versatile and accomplished collaborative pianists of her generation. She has played with leading performers, including soprano Anna Netrebko, and under the direction of conductors John Adams, Alan Gilbert, Robert Spano, and others.
This concert is part of the Marilyn Horne legacy at Carnegie Hall.
