Classical Music | Piano Works by Janacek, Bartok, Medtner, Prokofiev


Acclaimed pianist Gila Goldstein is set to perform a program that will include pieces by 20th and 21st century composers, representing both early and post modern compositions some 100 years apart. Goldstein will perform four short works by 20th century Eastern European composers Janacek, Bartok, Medtner, and Prokofiev. The program will also include the premiere of three works by Israeli composers Yoav Gal, Tamar Muskal and Ronn Yedidia, personal friends of Goldstein who each composed their pieces especially for her, as well as "Earring", two minute piece composed by faculty member and Pulitzer Prize winner Julia Wolfe.
