As Good Lessons from Bad Women begins, it reveals the many sides of Dorothy: stuck between Eleanor Roosevelt as the embodiment of virtue, and the delicious controversies in the lives of five other women: Mae West, Anne Bonney, Eve, Emperor Wu Chau, Elizabeth Freeman, and Mrs. "Machine Gun" Kelly, who became famous (or infamous) for coloring outside the lines. They are unique and often comic portraits of real women that eventually become facets of one woman’s wish to live a spirited life.
Dorothy Leeds is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association, AFTRA, and the Dramatists Guild whose credits include the first National Tour of Stop the World I Want to Get Off. Ms.Leeds has performed and presented at various venues from The Smoot Theatre, Ruth Eckerd Hall, Levy Performing Arts Center, and at many Nassau County Libraries. She is also a keynote speaker and the author of The 7 Powers of Questions, PowerSpeak,and Marketing Yourself. Ms. Leeds is a former film critic for MSNBC and makes weekly broadcast appearances on KCMN Colorado.
