Rumor and mystery follow the Faust teenagers to the city’s most prestigious high school, where they soar to suspicious heights with the help of their benefactor’s extraordinary "gifts." But as the students claw their way up — reading minds, erasing scenes, stopping time, stealing power, seducing with artificial beauty — they start to suffer the sideeffects of their own addictions.

Gallery Talk | On Ree Morton's At the Still Point of the Turning World

Agallery talk with exhibition curator João Ribas. This exhibition of the work of the late American artist Ree Morton (1936–1977) highlights Morton’s influential body of work, remarkably all produced between her decision to turn to art full-time in the late 1960s and her tragic death in an automobile accident shortly before her 41st birthday. While reflecting many of the currents of Postminimal and Conceptual art of the 1970s, Morton’s work also looked to a pioneering use of personal narrative, intimacy, humor, and poetic imagination. Yet the scope of her artistic production remains largely unrecognized, as does her vital contribution to feminist art practice and the importance of drawing to her development as an artist.

Workshop | Accidental Movement with Mariangela Lopez

A workshop open to everyone. No prior movement experience is necessary. The workshop space will become a platform to share individual experiences to create the identity of a group. The participants will explore their own creative and movement potential through releasing their personal memories and perceptions of their own environment by utilizing the power of the group to then build a collective experience. Lopez's work has emerged from the participation of different members of the community where she lives and develops her work. Through this workshop she hopes to build a core of participants for the development and presentation of a new work. This is an opportunity to be part of a creative process. The participants may choose to come only once or continue the exploration in a weekly basis. You don't need to start from the very first week, but remember that your consistency will determine your participation in the further development of the work. You don't need to want to perform to come to the sessions.

The work includes a multi-screen video exhibit that is itself a kind of appropriation - using digitally manipulated images as genuinely African - and music that is a hi-tech, up-tempo blend of live electric guitar, electronic sounds and digital processing.
