Kennedy is not only one of the most broadly respected Scottish novelists working today, she's also, if rumor and reviews are to be trusted, a pretty damn great comedian. In lieu of just another reading, Kennedy - in her first visit stateside since the release of her new story collection What Becomes - will perform her comedy routine. Kennedy won the Costa award for her novel Day in 2007, was twice listed as one of Granta's Best Young British Novelists.
