Equally at home in the world of jazz and cabaret, singer/pianist Daryl Sherman is internationally acclaimed for a steller 14-year run at the Waldorf-Astoria where she played Cole Porter's Steinway. Sherman has performed at the Algonquin Hotel Oak Room, being touted "someone who fits the room like Derek Jeter fits the Yankees" (Village Voice). She also performed at Feinstein's, Rose Hall with Wynton Marsali and the Licoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Dizzy's Coca Cola and 59E59, where she's been lauded for her band singer role in a centennial tribute to Artie Shaw.
She was presented the 2010 MAC Award "Best Major Recording" for her Johnny Merer Centennial CD, which was used in a Mercer documentary produced by Clint Eastwood. A frequent guest and guest host on Marian McPartland's NPR Piano Jazz. Last spring her annual UK tour included Pizza Express Jazz Club in London, plus Jazz festivals and Arts Centers in Norwich, Wales, and Holland.
