Discussion | Life and works of James Fenimore Cooper

In conjunction with the theatrical production of “The Spy” by James Fenimore Cooper, the Weissman Talks Onstage Dialogue series will present a special discussion on the life and works of the early 19th Century novelist James Fenimore Cooper.

Dr. Wayne Franklin, Director of American Studies at the University of Connecticut (who also sits on the Board of the Cooper Society) will lead a discussion on the life and works of James Fenimore Cooper.

Professor Duncan Faherty of Queens College/CUNY will share his work as a Cooper Scholar.

Jeffrey Hatcher, who adapted “The Spy” to the stage at Baruch for The Acting Company will discuss the experience behind the theatrical adaptation.
