Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Workshop | Core Body Boot Camp


This is a core strength workout. They do boot camp style exercises, so think pushups, situps, planks, squats, burpees, etc. There's a lot of smiles and laughing involved, too... (and the high fives will come back as we leave the COVID era behind!) Not sure how to do burpees? Pike jumps? Dragon Pushups? That's fine! We'll teach you. This is an awesome way to rock your body and get fit fast. They welcome all fitness levels. Even if you have not worked out in years we want you to join us. You will learn how the apparel industry developed in NYC through the years, and how it came to be located in its current District. Watch the development of the industry from sweatshops in the old tenement buildings on the Lower East Side, to giant factories in China and Bangladesh. Jazz | Jazz Wednesday


Jazz guitarist Bill Wurtzel and guests play standards from the American Songbook. Bill Wurtzel began playing guitar at age 9, and was a radio and TV country music performer by age 12. He attended art school and had a career as an award-winning advertising creative director. He continued to play professionally and switched to music full time in 1989. Bill has played worldwide with many jazz legends, including the Count Basie Countsmen, Wild Bill Davis, Bill Doggett, Jimmy McGriff, the Harlem Blues & Jazz Band, singers Gloria Lynne and Terri Thornton, as well as Paul Simon. Bill is a director of the Jazz Foundation of America.

Jazz | 7-Time Grammy-Nominated Jazz Percussionist and Bandleader


Bobby Sanabria is a 7-time Grammy nominee as a leader. He is a noted drummer, percussionist, composer, arranger, conductor, producer, educator, documentary film maker, and bandleader of Puerto Rican descent born and raised in NY's South Bronx. He was the drummer for the acknowledged creator of Afro-Cuban jazz, Mario Bauza touring and recording three CD's with him, two of which were Grammy-nominated, as well as an incredible variety of artists. From Dizzy Gillespie, Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria (with whom he started his career) Paquito D'Rivera, Yomo Toro, Candido, The Mills Brothers, Ray Barretto, Chico O'Farrill, Francisco Aguabella, Henry Threadgill, Luis "Perico" Ortiz, Daniel Ponce, Larry Harlow, Daniel Santos, Celia Cruz, Adalberto Santiago, Xiomara Portuondo, Pedrito Martinez, Roswell Rudd, Patato, David Amram, the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Michael Gibbs, Charles McPherson Jon Faddis, Bob Mintzer, Phil Wilson, Randy Brecker, Charles Tolliver, M'BOOM, Michelle Shocked, Marco Rizo, and many more. Jazz | Veteran Jazz Guitarist


Bill Bickford's Bigfood BILL BICKFORD, born and raised in Norwalk, CT, began to play guitar by listening to blues records a la Lightnin' Hopkins and studied with the late Linc Chamberland. He started professionally with local R&B and soul bands before moving to NYC in '77. He attended Berklee School of Music and City College of NY with full scholarships and studied arranging and composition with Mario Davidovsky, Edgar Summerlin and John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet. Bill freelanced with Jack McDuff, Lonnnie Smith and Larry Elgart. He first appeared on records with trumpeter JohnMcNeil on The Glass Room. Bill has toured many times internationally and has performed and recorded with dozens of artists including Joe Bowe, Mose, Allison, Donald Byrd, Maceo Parker and the JB Horns, and Jim Pepper. He can also be heard with his own trio, bassists Ed Schuller, Jack Walrath, Jim Payne, Jerry Z and with Wolfgang Schmid and Billy Cobham.
