An intimate summer afternoon of live performances, plus free food and refreshments, featuring artists Paul Spring, Laura Wolf, Jules Olson, Meera Gudipati, and Amanda Baker. About the Performers Paul Spring is a rising experimental folk artist with an innovative blend of electronic sounds through the lens of folk music, with Spring’s soprano vocals floating over his new wave gorp-core-esque production. Producer, cellist, and singer Laura Wolf picks apart genres and stitches them back together again; on a recent feature on NPR Music’s All Songs Considered, Bob Boilen called her a “classical musician in love with sound manipulations… she learned to master the art of bedroom recording”. The result is her signature off-kilter chamber-pop arrangements packed with sound design. A frequent collaborator in-studio and on stage, Laura’s solo project is a lifelong playground for experimentation and homespun production. Sometimes saturated with cello, often driven by synths and programmed drums, Laura’s pop-collages always embrace glitchy sound design, orchestral fragments, and lighter-than-air vocals. Her live performances, a visual as much as an auditory experience, blend analog, digital and whimsical experimentalism. Jules Olson is a songwriter and musician from upstate New York. Taking influence from artists like Justin Vernon, Blake Mills, and Lianne La Havas, she weaves indie-folk, soul, and pop into her own unique genre. Meera Gudipati held the co-principal flute position with the United States Coast Guard Band and the South Asian Symphony Orchestra. Previously, Gudipati was the acting principal flute with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. In addition to exploring her South Asian heritage through performance, Gudipati incorporates Indian classical music in her compositions.
