City Walk | Great Manhattan Bridge Walk


Start at GW Bridge, end at Brooklyn Bridge. Walk for about 12 hours and cross over all of the bridges they can walk over from Manhattan Island. The entire route will be 27+ miles of walking, plus two or three bus/subway rides. Bring plenty of water, sandwiches, snacks, and Metro Card. Moderately paced. Heavy rain or blizzard cancels.

Festival | Winter Jam NYC: Snowshoeing, Snowboarding, Cross-Country Skiing, and More


The biggest snow festival in the city! Winter Jam NYC brings winter fun with a Lake Placid snowfield for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Olympic Regional Development Authority will be blowing snow for a week leading up to the event to create a winter wonderland! Check out the world premiere of Shaun White’s Olympic training documentary Red Bull Project X and see what it takes to be a pro! Learn to ski with Head Skis, or snowboard with the Chill Foundation. Check out acrobatic performances from the high-flying Skyriders. Warm up with free samples from the Pride of New York Winter Market featuring refreshments provided by local producers.
