When his daughter, Mary, falls in love with a wealthy American guest at their inn, Con's pride drives him to an explosive reckoning with his true place in the New World. Eugene O'Neill completed the play in 1942 but it was not performed until 1958, after his death. It has been produced on Broadway four times. Directed by Ciaran O'Reilly With Belle Aykroyd, Ciaran Byrne, Robert Cuccioli, Kate Forbes, Mary McCann, Andy Murray, David O'Hara, Tim Ruddy, David Sitler, and John C. Vennema less

At the turn of the 20th century, Jewish women on the Lower East Side struggled to support their families by keeping house in dark, crowded, and unsanitary tenement apartments, and by working long hours in factories and sweatshops. Confronted with low wages and unsafe working conditions, as well as rising costs of food and rent, many women responded by joining unions, organizing pickets, and even rioting in the streets. less
