Staged Reading | What Reality?: A modern Greek Comedy About A Modern Greek Tragedy.

A staged reading of Greek playwright Nina Rapi's dark comedy What Reality? Love and Debt! A modern Greek comedy about a modern Greek tragedy. PHOEBE and PANOS are a young couple very much in love but up to their necks in debt. They’ve been unemployed for a while, the electricity has been cut off and are threatened with eviction. They are in a state of emergency and they need to take urgent measures to deal with it. PANOS goes up and down like a yo-yo, having an obsession with suicide as a solution one moment, getting excited about unfeasible possibilities the next. PHOEBE is down to earth, optimistic by nature, always seeking out doable solutions. They try various extreme, unorthodox ways of breaking their deadlock. Mostly they fail. Only one succeeds with devastating consequences. But all is not lost. Miracles can happen…
